Wonderful for Children! If you have children, or are just in touch with the child within, this is the perfect book for you! It is cute, and innocent, and has a really good plot-line. As a child, this was my favorite book, and had it read to me every night! Well... Enjoy!

Big Bird and Little Bird's Big & Little Book (A Golden Book for Early Childhood)
Published in Hardcover by Goldencraft (August, 1983)
Average review score:

Enjoyable for kids and adults. Good pictures. Fun text.As one would guess from the title, this book compares big and little things. Big Bird likes big things, like mountains, whales and tubas, and Little Bird likes little things like molehills, goldfish and the piccolo. I think it is very amusing that in one of the pictures it looks like Big Bird was reading The New Yorker, while in his hammock.

The BEST children's book ever writtenCall me crazy, but Big Bird Brings Spring to Sesame Street is perhaps the best children's book I have ever read. It captures the very essence of the seasons and of the heart. Anyone who reads this book will be touched by its sincerity and blessed by it's message. Anyone who has not read this book should buy it and read it immediately!

It has easy identification to about 50 kinds of North American "backyard" birds. Great for any bird enthusiast!

Black Male: Representations of Masculinity in Contemporary American Art
Published in Paperback by Whitney Museum of Art (March, 1995)
Average review score:

Brilliant book on art and the black man! This collection of essays may have come from a particular exhibit or conference. It is a book that discusses black men's status as objects of art. Don't sleep! The art world is racist. Coco Fusco and bell hooks have effectively documented this. So this anthology is a very needed intervention. Articles cover topics such as gay black men in movies, the visual representation of gangsta rap, Mapplethorpe, etc. The contributors analyze numerous art mediums, not just painting or film. What I love about this book is how straight black men and gay black men are treated equally; a discussion of one does not marginalize the other. I especially love the article "The Gangsta and the Diva." This book is incredible!

The Blonde: A Celebration of the Golden Era from Harlow to Monroe
Published in Hardcover by Chronicle Books (October, 1999)
Average review score:

DelightfulThe ideal gift for the man who appreciates both beautiful books and beautiful blondes. Indeed, men and women alike will appreciate this exceptional effort from the charming Mr. Conrad, who has somehow managed to imbue his book with a magical feeling of blondness. Strongly recommended, despite a few errors. For example, Sam Brody was a passenger, not the driver, in the car accident that killed Jayne Mansfield. Also, BC III could have done without including people like Princess Diana, Drew Barrymore and, especially, Madonna. But you can't go wrong with a book that has Veronica Lake on the front cover and Kim Novak's back on the back.

Blue's Musical Day (Blue's Clues)
Published in Paperback by Golden Books Pub Co Inc (April, 2001)
Average review score:

Blue and friends put on a show - and you help!!This is one of the better companion books to this popular kids television show, and complements the Blue's Big Musical movie. Pictures are drawn in a coloring book format and many stickers are included, as well as cut-out characters and a cut-out stage. There is a lot to do here, with some help needed for cutting, and the story of Steve and Blue and all the usual characters getting their show ready is not only entertaining and instructive for kids, but is a great setup for children's continuing play using their own ideas for the actual (or their own) show. Nicely done.
